Counterpoint's Electronic Affidavit System delivers logs to station affiliates, and retrieves affidavits after airing; all without manual intervention. It is built on top of the Counterpoint Affiliate Tracking system, and allows a potentially different method of delivery and retrieval to be established for each network/station affiliation. One of the problems in delivering station logs and receiving station affidavits is that there are a lot of different systems installed in stations, and they all work differently. Counterpoint is building interfaces to each of them, one at a time. Here is what is completed so far:
Marketron stations - Stations using the Marketron traffic system have the ability to use the Marketron Network Connect system, allowing Counterpoint to send the station logs directly into the station traffic system, so that station personnel need not manually enter network spots. After airing, those spots will be automatically returned to the network, with exact air times automatically added by the station's automation system. Again, with no manual intervention; a totally hands-off solution in both directions!
Cumulus and Univision stations - If your network includes Cumulus or Univision stations, a method similar to Network Connect will send the station logs directly into the station traffic system, so that station personnel need not manually enter network spots. After airing, those spots will be automatically returned to the network, with exact air times captured automatically by the stations' automation systems - again, with no manual intervention; a totally hands-off solution in both directions!
X-Digital and Wegener stations - If your network includes stations using X-Digital or Wegener audio delivery systems, you can use it to send either split copy audio or all audio to the stations. In the near future, that system will supply your network with automatic aired spot times.
Other Traffic systems - Counterpoint is talking to other suppliers of station traffic systems, to increase the number of methods of supplying automatic affidavits.
Counterpoint Website - For all stations for which no automatic interface is yet available, Counterpoint has created a website. When station logs are completed, their spots are sent to the website, and emails are sent to the stations, notifying them their logs are ready. The stations can then print their logs from the Counterpoint website. After airing, the stations go back to the website, and, with a few clicks, attest to the times that the spots aired.
All of the above methods of log delivery and retrieval work with split copy as well as generic copy.
How You Use It
- Start with our Traffic System and Affiliate Tracking Systems
- Define the method of delivery and retrieval for each network affiliation of each station
